Waxahachie Education Foundation Parker Dental Scholarship Application

The Education Foundation for Waxahachie ISD Stan & Priscilla Parker Dental Scholarship will award one (1) scholarship in the amound of $20,000 (paid as $2,500 per semester for eight semesters) annually.

For the application to be considered, students must meet ALL of the following criteria:
- Applicant must be a current Waxahachie ISD senior, and have been enrolled in WISD for the entirety of his/her junior and senior years.
- To remain eligible for this scholarship, applicant must be enrolled in college classes that are pre-requisites for admission to dental school.
- Appliation must be fully completed with all requested documentation submitted.
- An official high school transcript and SAT, ACT, or TSI score must be attached.
- A personal statement, no longer than one page, detailing why you have chosen to sutdy to become a dentist and what encouraged you in this pursuit, including any job shadowing you may have done.
- A resume listing your extracurricular involvement throughout high school, as well as any employment or internship experience and community involvement/service is required.
- A recommendation letter from an influential person in your life is required.
- ALL requested information MUST be included on submitted applications. The application will NOT be considered if all information is not included.
- If the scholarship committee determines they would like to interview candidates, you must make yourself available for an interview.
- If these requirements are not met and submitted by the due date, the applicaton will not be considered.

I understand that scholarship funds will be paid directly to the postsecondary institution to which I have been accepted. I understand that I am responsible for ensuring the Foundation has the correct information to disburse funds to the institution. The Education Foundation for Waxahachie ISD reserves the right to withhold any remaining scholarship funds six (6) years beyond the recipient's graduation from high school.*
